Epic Sharpener for ALL types!

This charger is super easy to use. It has a rechargeable cord that comes with it. It is sharpening my pencils very easily. It has a large well to keep the shavings overall, I am super impressed with this product.

Electric pencil sharpener works off USB charge no battery needed. Works as expected. It was larger than I had expected. I charged it upon arrival and it charged fast about,2 hours. When it is charging the front panel shows red once fully charged it shows blue. It comes with instructions to advise on care of the sharpener.

I am impressed with this battery-operated pencil sharpener. This item is amazingly simple to use, stick in a pencil and the unit pulls it in, sharpens, and then releases when done. It does this very quickly and makes a very sharp tip on the pencil. I like the color and design and the quality to the materials seems to be good. The window allows you to see how full it is getting, and the carry strap makes it easy to move around.

WOW!! at first attempt this sharpener freaked me out because it literally does everything automatically. I'm so use to the ones you push your pencil through and check if it's sharpened the way you want, however, this is a whole different level! There is a dial of levels on how sharp you want your pencil. First off it already comes with charge, once you choose, just insert your pencil and the machine itself will pull it down word to sharpen PERFECTLY then raises it up once it's complete. It has a cool light that turns on while it sharpens and then once done it will turn off. I am super impressed of how easy this will make my life when I have to sharpen all the colored pencils for my class. Very quick, built on the high-end spectrum and I have very happy I purchased.

I am pretty impressed with this sharpener. It is fast, efficient and easy to use, even for my youngest child. We homeschool so there are lots of pencils to sharpen and this does it all. The sharpness is adjustable which is really nice, especially with colored pencils that break less and just do better a little more blunt. My kindergartener uses the fat, triangle shaped pencils and it will do even those easily. We have done fat pencils, weird shaped ones, nice name brand ones and crappy ones the kids got as prizes that are usually really hard to sharpen. All of them come out perfect. It is much faster than the last one we had, quieter and the battery lasts forever. It’s pretty simple to empty the bin and holds enough that we don’t have to often. We will be using this workhorse daily all year. I love it and it well deserves 5 stars.

I've used other electric pencil sharpeners before, but this one is unique. You don't need to press the pencil into the sharpener. You just need to drop the pencil into the hole on top and it grabs the pencil, grinds down the wood and pushes it back up when it's finished. There is no guessing as to how long to keep it in. The points come out perfectly every time. So far, I haven't seen any broken tips.The unit includes a dial to adjust for hardness or softness of the inner material. For regular, number two pencils, I use the middle setting. For hard colored pencils, I use the setting for hard materials, and for soft, art pencils I use the setting for blunter materials. Those settings work quite well.The machine is rechargeable. and when charging. a cool looking red light glows around the front window of the unit. When charged, the red light is replaced by a blue light. Sometimes the light flashes blue and red. and I guess that means it's time to charge it again. The manual doesn't mention this really. It says when the light flashes, it's time to recharge, so the color switch must be part of the flashing. In any case, the lights look really cool.Both the appearance and operation of this sharpener are great. I also like its portability. It has a great little leather handle, so you can carry it from room to room like a lantern.

My wife and I like to work the crossword puzzle and Jumble from the newspaper every day, and we always use pencils in those endeavors. We prefer to use soft pencils, which are great for writing smoothly and with dark letters, but which wear down to dull nubs quite quickly.We do have a couple of electric pencil sharpeners, but those are not always in the room where one of us is working on a puzzle. So, I was very glad to see that this new pencil sharpener was available.This Afmat pencil sharpener is a cut above other electric sharpeners we have used up until now. This one is sleek and attractive, with its blue color and leather-like carrying strap. In addition, it has a nice, somewhat futuristic display, with an LED light that glows in different colors to signify charging status and sharpening progress. It has an adjustment dial so you can set it to sharpen softer or harder pencils. One nice feature is that it automatically ejects a pencil after you insert it, once it is fully sharpened.Although I can’t yet say how well it will hold up over time, for now this is my favorite electric pencil sharpener.

I've owned one other electric pencil sharpener, and frankly it was often inconvenient, with a cord in the way that never seemed long enough, and inserting pencils into the side meaning that it sometimes took up too much space. That left me, as seemingly the designated pencil sharpener, relying on typical hand held sharpeners (easy to get tired of this). This pencil sharpener is an absolute pleasure to use by comparison.On unpacking, I plugged it into a wall charger, saw the red illumination on the front and left it to charge. About an hour later the light turned a very bright blue, easy to notice from across a room.After collecting as many pencils as I could find, of all types from ordinary everyday HB and 2H, to soft art pencils and watercolor pencils, I used the pencil sharpener for an extended session. I was surprised at first by how quickly the senses the pencil and takes over, it really isn't necessary to push down hard. In the photographs the image of 6 pencils shows ordinary classroom type pencils, the pair on the left at the bluntest setting, the middle as the default setting, and on the right at the sharpest setting. The group of 3 are watercolor pencils on the blunt setting. None of the pencils broke or were damaged during sharpening, so it works extremely well so far.The carrying handle is a great convenience and the bright color means it is easy to spot in our art accessories and supplies cupboard. It seems to be very well manufactured - no rough edges or flaws in the plastic, and the soft feet on the bottom ensures it doesn't mark a desk or table.I found it easy to empty after the first time - when I was a little unsure how much force to use and was extra careful -but with experience it gets easier. I haven't experienced any issues at all so far. I noticed that replacement blades are easily found on Amazon, they are listed in the seller's description, and I will probably buy a set soon just to have them when needed. Overall, if it continues to perform well, then it's good value for those with a lot of pencils, saves time and a good choice. The supplied USB cable is just over 3' long excluding connectors.If issues arise with recharging, or in continued use, then I will update the review. So far it's a 5/5 product for me.
