I have owned a number of colored pencil sharpeners over my many years as a colored pencil artist. Afmat sharpeners are my favorite and this sharpener does not disappoint. It sharpens beautifully without eating up my pencils and I appreciate the options for various levels of sharpness. The pop up auto stop is fun too.

Automatically stops when pencil is sharpened and the pencil pops right up. Quick. Clear window on the side lets you see the level of shavings. Empty when 1/3 full. Very happy with this product.

Working great so far,a tad loud but it’s not to bad it is bigger than I thought but still great for travel it’s not heavy which I was worried about definitely worth the price.i have dubbed mine Excalibur.Love all the settings when I color and draw.

I wish I had one of these sooner. I noticed similar items going up online and thought I would try them out. I picked red because it’s my kid’s favorite color. Let’s just say that the coloring on the device is great. No scratches or anything and the red was bright and true to color. The sharpener is not tiny, but also not a huge burden either. I’d say it is about the size of a 20 oz. bottle, or just a tad smaller. Simply push your pencil into the slot and it will take care of the rest. I think it’s safer because the device will pop the pencil out when it’s finished and the user doesn’t get his/her fingers near the blades, etc.

It has an easy to operate dial on the front with clear selections as to how sharp you want your pencils to be. There is even a small window for you to watch your pencils getting sharpened. The top twists off for easy emptying as well. It was a little more than I was expecting to pay, but it has been quite the work horse. It is very durable and worth the money.

Wow!!! That's what all my students said as I demonstrated using this awesome pencil sharpener! It's magic!! No more over sharpened pencils that leave you with little nubs. And, yes, it is a little noisier than a manual sharpener, but actually significantly quieter than my regular electric one. It works so well and makes such sharp and smooth points!

It automatically pulls the pencil in and sharpens it to JUST the right point. Great quality- feels durable and like it will gold up a long time. Also, a very large shavings tank/ storage. Seriously... You NEED this sharpener!!!

Sorry to yell, but this is the best pencil sharpener I’ve ever used. The design is aesthetically pleasing, as it’s round and doesn’t immediately scream “pencil sharpener” when you see it sitting on your table or desk. It looks more like some kind of electronic computer part, or maybe even an insulated drink mug.

Maintenance is easy. There is a large viewing window running vertically in the front, above the tip angle adjustment dial. That window lights up red when it’s plugged in and charging, and blue when it’s fully charged. The top unscrews to empty the shavings, and reassembly is simple with two arrows that line up when the top’s put back on correctly.

It has a battery in the base, which allows it to be used without being plugged in. The battery also gives some weight to it so it’s more stable.

Using it is as simple as can be. You stuff a pencil into the top, and it draws the pencil in and takes over the whole operation. When it’s done sharpening, it ejects the pencil and turns off, leaving the sharpened pencil sticking out of the top ready to go.

There is a sharpening angle adjustment dial on the bottom with five settings. Normal is in the center, while the far left is used for very soft pencils. I had to move it to the right a little to get my pencils really sharp.

There is a one year warranty. Charging time is 2-2.5 hours with a 5V 2A charger. The instructions say you can get 600-700 sharpenings on a full charge. (!!!) It comes with a 38” USB-A to Type C charging cable. Sharpening time for a new pencil is <6 seconds, and <4 seconds for a used one. Blade life is roughly 7000 sharpenings, but “if the blade shows signs of aging or failure” the manufacturer will send you a new blade. Cool.

My son needed a good pencil sharpener for his room. He tends to overdue it on almost everything so being able to take the process out if his hands is awesome. We love how you can choose how sharp you want the tip to be especially since he does a lot of drawing and different tips are important to him. It does not come with its own block which I guess is pretty typical these days. The canister is big enough to hold quite a bit and the lid is sturdy enough on there that it won't just pop off and spread pencil shaving everywhere.

This pencil sharpener is really nice! I have used it in my elementary classroom, and the students enjoy it! It is very easy to use and has options for 5 different points. The automated operation prevents over-sharpening. It is both quiet and efficient. It is a convenient size, and so far it has held up to heavy use. It charges quickly with a USB cord.

The other small functional gripe is shavings disposal; you have to remove the top, which exposes the sharpening mechanism and that’s not ideal around kids. A simple dump tray would have been a smarter, safer design choice. Build quality is solid and above average for a home sharpener, but it doesn’t feel commercial-grade, and the price feels a bit high for what you’re getting. The size is substantial, definitely bigger than I expected. However the performance is what makes this a great product. The convenience, vertical design, and reliability make it a strong everyday home option.

This pencil sharpener really passes the test. It’s by far the best one I have ever owned from this brand. I have some kindergartner odd shaped pencils to help with writing and proper pencil holding and this sharpened them up without any problems. It does not over sharpen. It does not under sharpen.
