This three-hole punch handles stacks of paper easily and delivers clean, consistent holes every time. It’s a large, sturdy tool, so it does take up a fair bit of desk or shelf space. There's a latch on the side that locks the arm down to make storage a bit more compact; it's still bulky though.

The hole spacing is fixed at 4.25 inches, which aligns perfectly with a standard three-ring binder. While you can’t adjust the hole spacing itself, there is a helpful metal guide on the side that lets you align different paper sizes so the holes punch right in the center. Just match the arrow on the guide to your paper length.

The punched-out paper bits fall neatly into a flexible plastic tray underneath and do not escape.

For $35 I plan to have this be the only hole puncher I ever purchase for my homeschooling needs!

This is an excellent replacement to a 3-hole punch we've had since before dirt was invented. This unit is waaaay more powerful in its capability to punch thru thick bundles of sheets easily and cleanly. Our old unit has the same chard catching-tray underneath as this one does, and that's super-convenient in eliminating a mess. The fit and finish of this unit is superb, it looks great on a desk or table, our old unit always lived in a drawer, it was just kinda clunky and ugly. There's no rattling or loose components, it's very well-constructed and operates perfectly. Highly recommended.

I copy and save lots of favorite recipes in a three ring binder. This hole puncher is perfect for accuracy and equal spacing. Much better than my old one hole puncher.

For years we have had a cheap 3-hole punch, and I hated that thing, it worked, but barely. Papers would get jammed, and it only punched about 4 sheets at a time. This punch, is much easier to use, the larger handle gives you the leverage needed to punch through the sheets without getting jammed up. The base holds lots of the punch puts and empties easily. Papers slide in easily and slide out after being punched. This one does cost more than the one we had previously, but it is worth the cost not being frustrated after using it.

This is a little beast, simple as that. It's nearly an identical match to the one on campus in the library - but a bit better.

The quality of this 3 hole puncher is great. It requires far less force than the last one I have. It does take up a little more space than the compact puncher it replaced. It is still not very big. It feels smooth and easy to operate, unlike the old compact one. The resulting holes are very clean. I really like this puncher. I recommend it.

This is a good value for a very good quality, sturdy, extremely easy to use 40 sheet large capacity 3 ring style opening paper puncher. It makes openings compatible with standard 3 ring binders in the spacing and layout. It’s highly adjustable and can be used with paper between the length of 9 ½ up to 20 inches in length. It’s extremely well made and is much better quality than standard paper punchers that are lighter weight.

The 40 sheets at once punching compatibility is for 20 pound weight paper which is the common paper weight and thickness of most standard printer or copy paper. If your paper is thicker or a heavier paper weight it will likely not be able to process 40 sheets at once. It can be used with cardstock, thicker papers, but you’ll want to use less paper at a time.

The paper that is punched out then automatically goes into a tray holder on the base that you can empty. It catches the paper as you punch it. It’s large and holds quite a bit and is easy to empty as needed. It’s not messy to use and you won’t have to worry about the paper scraps going all over during use.

It has an adjustable paper guide for various sizes of paper, including standard 8.5” x 11” paper. Neither the listing pictures, details or manual list the various sizes of papers it can use. However, it has the numbers 9 ½” through 20 (numbers 9 ½ – 20) marked with a ½ inch mark in-between the numbers like a ruler. If standard 8.5” x 11” paper is put on the 11 mark for the length, it appears it can be used on paper between 9 ½” – 20” in length.

Note that you will need to adjust it into place before the first use. You’ll need to read the enclosed instructions. I had to pull upward on the press down handle area before initial use to raise it. It can look like it’s in place as it is but it won’t work until it’s pulled upward into place. While there are instructions included, you may want to refer to, save or print out the listing details and pictures with instructions as well.

If you’re using standard letter sized 8.5” x 11” paper you will have to properly adjust the paper holder before first use. If you don’t pull out and properly adjust the numbered paper holder and just use it without it adjusted it won’t be in proper alignment.

The key to proper adjusting, especially for letter sized paper, is to look and see the arrow in the center opening area (see the listing pictures) where the slide pull out with the numbers is. You look at the center arrow in the opening and align the number 11 place on the slide with the center arrow. You don’t align it at the top, base or pull it out to the end, it has to align perfectly with the arrow in the center. The arrow is a little bit difficult to see, so you may need to look closely to see it.

I’d recommend testing it with a trial piece of paper to be sure you have proper alignment. Once you get the alignment it’s easy to use and you can leave it at the adjustment you’ll commonly use it at. You do still have to make sure the paper is properly centered so the alignment is proper. I do think you have to think about it a little more with this style vs standard smaller 3 ring punchers, as it’s meant to be used with several sizes of paper.

This is the easiest paper puncher I’ve ever used. I had an older lightweight one that struggled to work with 2-3 pages and was difficult to use. If you have used just standard ones like that before this, you’ll really enjoy how much simpler, quicker and easier it is to use. It takes very little hand pressure and effort compared to lighter, standard ones. I found all the openings were smooth and no areas hung or didn’t go through.

However, due note that this is fairly large in size. It’s not going to be a portable easier to store size. It will fold down a little for storage, but it’s still quite large. It takes up quite a bit of room due to the size and is fairly heavy. It’s one you’ll need to have seated on a hard surface (table, desk, counter-top) during use vs standard ones you can hold during use.

If you regularly need to use a paper puncher and this fits your paper weight and capacity, it’s excellent and works very well. I wouldn’t go back to using my old style one after trying this one, this is so much better and easier, even if it is bigger and took some initial adjustment.

Wow, this is ready for heavy-duty use! My need, however, is for home office use. I wasn't quite ready to give up such a large footprint to my 3-hole punch so instead of sitting on my desk, it's stored on a bookshelf under my printer. This one is so heavy-duty, it should last my lifetime.

We homeschool, and I was so excited to find this. The current hole punch I use is always getting jammed, even with only trying to punch a few sheets at a time. This seems to be pretty heavy-duty! You can adjust the slide to accommodate various paper sizes, too. The chad catcher is very large, so it does not need to be emptied every few sheets. The directions claim this will punch 40 sheets at one time 🤯. I will definitely be putting it to work when we receive our new curriculum. It also has a little lock for the handle, which is nice and helps with transportation if needed.

The only downside is I do not see a way to turn one of the punches off and you cannot move the punch spots. You will have to move your paper accordingly if you want to punch in different spots which would most likely require some trial and error. If you use narrow paper you could use the first 2 punches instead of all 3. I just need a standard punch for putting papers into binders, so this works great for us.

The price point is about average for other similar products on the market. However, if I needed the punch to be able to punch 2 holes instead of 3, I'd be willing to pay a few dollars more for that feature.

This thing is a beast. My wife is a writer and often needs staff to go into binders and folios. We have been struggling for years with inferior punches. This thing goes through a stack of paper like butter. It's made of stamped steel and has a nice plastic base that catches the waste from the holes. Holes are clean and well aligned. Requires very little effort to punch a big stack. Side guide is easily adjustable for various widths of paper. Overall I absolutely love this and hate myself for not getting it sooner!
