What to do if broken lead jams the blade and the sharpener doesn't sharpen pencils?
Reinsert a hard HB/2B pencil to sharpen it, so that broken leads can be dislodged while sharpening. If it doesn't work, please remove the lid, take out the blade piece and dislodge the jams with a steel wire or other similar tool.
What to do if the pencil gets stuck in the sharpener so that the sharpener stops working?
Remove the lid, take out the pencil, and put the lid back to use. Please do not sharpen pencils less than 2.9 inch, as the pencil may get stuck in the blade.
What to do if the pencil tip breaks a lot?
This sharpener is equipped with strong helical blade, which gives hard pencils a super sharp point. However, if the pencil core is rather soft, it may cause tip breakage with the sharp setting. Please change to medium or blunt setting.
What to do if the sharpener spins and doesn't sharpen pencils?
Please push the pencil down a bit harder.
What to do if the sharpener doesn't hold a charge?
Change an adapter. Make sure the specification is 5V 2A, not too high or too low.

These are the best pencil sharpener on the market. I purchased mine several years ago. The first couple of years I wouldn't let students use it for fear of them breaking it like they have done to all the other sharpeners that I have bought. Now I let students use it and it is still doing a great job and students love it.
My students love feeding the robot. My husband, Dennis even bought one for his class. I recommend this pencil sharpener to parents as well as educators. Parent use it as a reward for them, turning in their homework and making good grades daily. Teachers what you can do with these pencils are endless. I used to order Ticonderoga and I recommended it to my Teacher friends. But it was never this many at the very beginning when I started teaching 25 years ago.

My only criticism I have about this sharpener is that it doesn't come after you when you leave it somewhere. We travel with it all the time and I had to re-buy it again and again because it likes to stay on airplanes, restaurants and hotel-rooms. They should design one that is less addicted to unsupervised travel. Also a color changing model would work too. My daughter wants the pink and my son wants the green so we alternate each time one stays behind....

I bought this for my art class after having 4 pencil sharpeners break last school year from students jamming pencils into them. This is easy to use, the kids are fascinated by it and take care of it, and this was well worth the purchase. I went with the warranty as well because, hey kids break things and this was out of my pocket, but so far they have been taking good care of it. Well worth the money.
